Below is a drawing that appears to
be in colored pencil. It was done by a GI, shortly before he/she
deployed with his/her troops. This is a very moving piece of artwork that says it all. Although it may
be hard to see on a web page, the fireman on the ground is holding a hand from the rubble as he
hands the flag to the soldier. The inscription above the soldier reads, "I'll take it from here." I know
that some of you out there can find some very inspirational words for this wonderful drawing.
This was sent to me by a man that
is now retired from the Air Force. He did not know who the artist
is. I hope that by posting it here, I will be able to find out who this person is and give the proper
credit. The name on the lower right hand corner appears to be Greer.
If you have any
information about this drawing,

I would love to
give credit where credit is due for this beautiful drawing.
